Hello and THX @ all

i was in contact with Samsung support and they told me that i have to press down and hold the FF (fast forward) 5 seconds without update CD in the drive.
i’ve follow the instructions and made the update again. it works! :o 8)

There are only TWO BluRay players that can be made region free for BluRay playback at this time and both require some modification to be done by someone (the seller or the purchaser) to get it to work. One is by Momitsu and one is by Oppo.

Y’know , I would like to know if any of the failed machines had proper air flow round them, I now use Hockey Pucks to seperate all my electronics, not stack them on top of each other.

It was on the advice of a installer I know.

As most (all?) Philips DVD players are converting players, the setup menu should have an option for PAL TV output. If this is missing, then you don’t have a converting player and you can’t do anything about it. I can’t say it’s impossible for that to happen, but I can say that such would be highly unusual for Philips.
